La guerre de Troie n'aura pas lieu: deux créations italiennes du XXIe siècle

Although Giraudoux only achieved moderate success in Italy, some of his works have enjoyed a relatively constant place in the theatrical repertoire up to the present day. The two recent productions with the greatest impact were those by the Teatro Stabile di Catania and by the Effetti Collaterali troupe in Prato. Younger theater directors are less interested in the Italian tradition of Giraudoux’s plays, and more in the situation presented in La guerre de Troie n’aura pas lieu, which is viewed as a metaphor for the gate of the world.
