The volume offers a rich overview of research from different European countries. Creativity is analysed in many diverse processes and agents. Accompanied by the editors' introduction and their respective prefaces, the collection is enhanced by a poem on the coronavirus by Roger McGough, the poet's Sebald Lecture at the British Library which functions as Foreword, and an Afterword by Michael Cronin. Thirteen papers revolve around two characterizing aspects of literary translation: on the one hand, the impossibility of saying exactly the same thing; on the other, the elements of novelty introduced, necessarily, by those who translate. These aspects are analysed from different perspectives: Ursula Ziaja, Aurora Firta, Nadia Georgiou and Dora Rusciano focus on poetry translation; Victòria Alsina Keith and Marcello Giugliano on play translation; Marcella Soldaini, Andrew Rothwell, Mikaela Cordisco, and Sole Alba Zollo on prose translation; Eleonora Federici on self-translation. Winibert Segers, Gys-Walt van Egdom and Henri Bloemen's contribution follows, putting forward a proposal for a test to evaluate creativity in literary translations. Lastly, David Katan, Emine Bogenç Demirel and Cazibe Yiğit address the issue of multimodal translation.
