In this contribution we have tried to read some issues regarding contempora-neity through two distinct disciplinary lenses: on the one hand a philosophical political ap-proach and on the other a legal sociological one. Through this two-part discussion, which has had as its object some of the most relevant studies in the social sciences in recent years, we have tried to clarify some of the key concepts of digital civilization reflection, a breviary of use. Behavioral consciousness must build its antibodies so that the technolo-gical tool does not become Istrumentum Regni of the “Great Other” on our autonomy of thought.
