MAXIMILLIEN DE BETHUNE DUCA DI SULLY, AUTORE DELLE OECONOMIES ROYALES

This essay is about an important historical work: the Oeconomies Royales, written by the Duke of Sully. He was the main adviser and Minister of Henry IV, the king of France who ascended the throne after the wars of religion.Sully writes his work after his king´s death to celebrate his actions and to attriburte to him the intention to bild up in Europe a new peaceful political system. The first step of it was the successful end of the fight towards the Habsburgs. Then, it could have been possible to create a "Res publica Europea" in order to keep Europe in peace.

Argomento del saggio è l'analisi delle Oeconomies royales del Duca di Sully, grande collaboratore di Enrico IV. Egli, dopo la morte del suo sovrano, scrive una monumentale opera per celebrarne le gesta e per attribuire a lui il grande progetto della pacificazione europea, che doveva essere raggiunto limitando al potenza degli Asburgo.
