Abstract
In nature, there is a lot of light that we are unable to see that enables and reveals the communication among invertebrates, fsh and reptiles, amphibians, and birds. This is the invisible bio-fuorescence phenomenon. Recently, rosin, a yellow, solid, transparent plant resin is being investigated because of its unique luminescence. A strong physical interaction between polymer and rosin is possible and such property causes the formation of a solid solution, which is optically transparent and perfectly suitable for a large number of sparkling design applications that are more sustainable and in harmony with a new way of thinking and designing that respects man and the environment. Great interest is in the design of artifacts aimed at coworking spaces, with a biophilic design approach and inspired by biomimicry, in which surfaces and plants are illuminated even at night, providing acoustic and visual protection while generating atmospheres of well-being.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
