Il contributo analizza i più importanti cambiamenti introdotti dal Trattato di Lisbona sul versante del principio della democrazia partecipativa: in primo luogo, l'introduzione di nuovi e più efficaci strumenti di partecipazione al decision-making process; in secondo luogo, nuovi meccanismi di controllo del principio di sussidiarietà.
