This contribution explores the form, construction and structural identity of the so-called Mycenaean “tholoi”, monumental hypogean domed tombs made of stone blocks dating back to the Bronze Age and widespread throughout mainland Greece. The study serves as a guide for future conservation, restoration and enhancement activities appropriate to the specific characteristics of these structures.
