Il pensiero politico-giuridico di Dante nella critica del Novecento

The problems of historical setting and interpretation of political and legal thought of Dante have gradually grown over time and are then increasingly infittiti in relation to the varied and complex web of ideologies and instanta-ze national and social. Neither this, of itself, although it is only a predominant element in an absolute sense. In fact, there is another reason, which can be considered internal to the development and classification of the works of Dante, and is placed in the bond, deep and narrow, between the greatest and the minor works (so to speak: The Divine Comedy on the one hand, and Convivio, Monarchy, Epistles policies from another), and if this reason indeed interested primarily philologists and scholars of Dante with the related issues of dating and "authenticity" of the texts, also be kept in mind in suitable places, by those who wish to follow the course of thought Dante.

I problemi di ambientazione storica e di interpretazione del pensiero politico e giuridico di Dante sono via via cresciuti nel tempo e poi sempre più si sono infittiti in relazione al vario e complesso intreccio delle ideologie e delle istan-ze nazionali e sociali. Né questo basta di per sé, anche se è da solo un elemento predominante in senso assoluto. V’è infatti un’altra ragione, che si può considerare interna allo svolgimento e alla classificazione delle opere di Dante; ed è posta nel legame, profondo e stretto, tra l’opera maggiore e le opere minori (così per dire: Divina Commedia, da una parte; e Convivio, Monarchia, Epistole politiche da un’altra): e se questa ragione invero interessa precipuamente filologi e studiosi di Dante con le connesse questioni di datazione e di “autenticità” dei testi, pure va tenuta presente, nei luoghi opportuni, da chi intende seguire il corso del pensiero dantesco.
