Narratives and Algorithms: Understanding Research Experiences in the Digital Age

The introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into academic contexts is profoundly transforming research practices and the production of knowledge. This contribution presents an exploratory study involving lecturers and researchers from diverse disciplinary fields, adopting a narrative inquiry approach to investigate lived experiences and the impact of AI on scientific practice. Within a narrative-reflective theoretical and methodological framework, autobiographical tools were employed to collect research stories, highlighting continuities and discontinuities in professional trajectories. AI emerges as a socio-technical dispositif that redefines habits, epistemic agency, and scientific identity, configuring itself as a pedagogically transformative element.
