The present pilot study addresses the need of assessing the existence of significant elements which would justify a more deep following study on how the lack of specific skills training in the areas of physical education assessment and technology for the measurement of physiological parameters involved in the experience of teaching-learning through and about physical and sports activities, could negatively affect the didactics, realizing movement activities in which the intensity level does not correspond to the real intentions of the teacher. Specifically, the aim was to analyze the relationship between expected values of energy expenditure with the actual energy expenditure during a light physical activity lasting 15 minutes, using a portable calorimeter. The methodology of the research required the adoption modalities appropriate to the Italian school context that has some peculiarities that do not allow the use of certain procedures traditionally used in other fields of research on motor-sports activities. The sample was made of 176 primary school students of Campania Region (Italy), from 11 classes including 2 classes of year one, 2 of year two, 2 of year three, 3 of year four and 2 of year five. The results showed that the teaching methods used by teachers appear not suitable for a light physical activity. In fact, in six classes out of 11 it was reached or exceeded the minimum level corresponding to intense physical activity.
Il presente studio pilota risponde alla necessità di valutare l'esistenza di elementi significativi che giustifichino un successivo e più approfondito studio su come la mancanza di formazione specifica di competenze nel settore della valutazione delle attività motorie e delle tecnologie per la misurazione di parametri fisiologici coinvolti nell’esperienza di insegnamento-apprendimento attraverso e sull’attività fisica e sportiva, possa incidere negativamente sulla didattica, realizzando attività di movimento in cui il livello di intensità non corrisponde alle reali intenzioni del docente. In particolare, l'obiettivo è stato quello di analizzare il rapporto tra i valori attesi di spesa energetica con il dispendio energetico effettivo nel corso di una attività fisica della durata di 15 minuti, usando i calorimetri. La metodologia della ricerca ha richiesto l’adozione di modalità appropriate al contesto scolastico italiano, le cui peculiarità non consentono l'uso di alcune procedure tradizionali utilizzata in altri campi di ricerca sulle attività sportive a motore. Il campione ha coinvolto 176 studenti delle scuole primarie della Regione Campania (Italia), provenienti da 11 classi di cui 2 classi prime, 2 seconde, 2 terze, 3 quarte e 2 quinte. I risultati hanno mostrato che i metodi di insegnamento utilizzati dagli insegnanti non sembrano adatti per una attività fisica leggera. Infatti, in sei classi su 11 è stato raggiunto o superato il livello minimo corrispondente a intensa attività fisica.
