TRADURRE LA LINGUA E LE IMMAGINI: IL CASO DI ALICE NEL PAESE DELLE MERAVIGLIE

Supported by the repertoire of studies on Children's Literature Translation (CLT) and Child-Oriented Translation (COT), the article offers a reflection on the translation of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, in Italian and Neapolitan language, to show how in the new target versions also the visual paratext is subjected to a translation, so that verbal and visual changes the source text are somehow inevitably interconnected.

Sostenuto dal repertorio di studi su Children's Literature Translation (CLT) e su Child-Oriented Translation (COT), l'articolo offre una riflessione sulla traduzione di Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, in italiano e in lingua napoletana, per dimostrare come nelle nuove versioni d'arrivo anche il paratesto visivo venga sottoposto a traduzione, al pari delle parole, operando talvolta mutamenti sia verbali che visivi del testo originale.
