Some Observations about the Economic Statistics’ Teaching Contents Beside the Italian Universities - Academic Year 2007-08. The aim of this paper is to present some observations about the syllabuses of university subjects included in the Scientific-Disciplinary Sector (S.D.S.) SECS-S/03 - Economic Statistics, analyzing the contents of the study courses which belong with the degree courses of following five Faculties: Economics, Statistical Sciences, Political Sciences, Law and Engineering. The research concerns the Italian Universities during the academic year (A.Y.) 2007-08 while the University’ formative Italian offer are becoming different. The 296 syllabuses of university subjects have been studied through a questionnaire sent to the official teacher of each course or catching information through the official Universities’ website. The aspects connected to the educational side and the research activity have been explored to define the identity of the S.D.S. 429 Economic Statistics like other papers suggested in the past (Quintano, 1995 e 1996; AA.VV. 1984). All the study courses have been observed using some descriptive statistics; in addition to the descriptive statistics, between the methods to consider, the Authors suggest some method of multivariate analisys to studying the subjects mentioned Economic Statistics. The perception of a wide evolution of the Economic Statistics‘syllabus emerges according more than one direction. The econometric methods appears more than in the past few years although the Economic Statistics and the Econometric share only the use of the data instead both the achievement and the analysis tool (which are connected with the economic data production process) concern only the economic statisticians. The analysis also underlines an increasing emphasis to the statistical data quality. To conclude, professor A. A. Romano presents a afterword also connected with the discussion in progress on the revision of the S.D.S.
