Starting from Pierre Rosanvallon's essay, Le bon Governement, and from the concepts of lisibilité, responsabilité and réactivité, we will try here to put forward some points for reflection, linked to three concepts closely related to transparency, and often called into question when dealing with this issue: intimate, private and public. Is a transparency of the intimate possible, or do we end up with a utopian transparency? Is it possible to achieve a transparency of the private sphere that is not an ideological instrumentalization? In what does transparency of the public consist? Through a close dialogue between the French author and the cornerstones of Western philosophical and sociological thought - from Hobbes to Simmel, through Montesquieu, Bobbio and some brief incursions into the field of ethics and dystopian literature - we tried to propose the urgency of a deep reflection on the key issue of education, which is the core of any reasoning on the future of Western democracies. Post-truth transforms public opinion into the opinion of the community; therefore, it is in transparency that we need to identify a new ontological status of power in which the geographical difference between intimate, private and public is recovered.
Partendo dal saggio di Pierre Rosanvallon, Le bon Governement, e dai concetti di lisibilité, responsabilité e réactivité, si cerca qui di avanzare alcuni spunti di riflessione, ricollegandosi a tre concetti strettamente legati alla trasparenza, e spesso chiamati in causa quando si affronta questa tematica: intimo, privato e pubblico. È possibile una trasparenza dell’intimo, o si finisce per arrivare a una trasparenza utopica? È percorribile una trasparenza del privato che non arrivi a essere una strumentalizzazione ideologica? In cosa consiste la trasparenza del pubblico? Attreverso un serrato dialogo tra l’autore francese e i capisaldi del pensiero filofosico e sociologico occidentale – da Hobbes a Simmel, passando per Montesquieu, Bobbio e alcune brevi incursioni nel campo dell’etica e della letteratura distopica - si è cercato di proporre l’urgenza di una riflessione profonda sul tema cardine dell’educazione, che costituisce il nucleo fondante di qualsiasi ragionamento sul futuro delle democrazie occidentali. La Post-verità trasforma l’opinione pubblica in opinione del pubblico ed è dunque nella trasparenza che bisogna individuare un nuovo statuto ontologico del potere in cui venga recuperata la differenza geografica tra intimo, privato e pubblico.
