The outcome of this paper is a sociological analysis of some consequences of the neoliberal logics applied to the Italian school system during the current phase now defined as post-pandemic, with particular regard to the processes of medicalisation of the minors social and economic distress. In the first part of the essay, the more general practices of medicalization of the social body and their application in the management of malaise in compulsory education in Italy are investigated. The adopted perspective aims at problematizing the individualistic and adult-centric visions of the social context, both encouraged by the performative and competitive criteria of neoliberalism. The second part of the paper reconstructs, in a genealogical way, the development processes of medicine as a biopolitical strategy and the cycles of definition of childhood as a social condition (which were determined at the end of the 19th century). In fact, it is in seriality, i.e. in the study of the causes and effects of government strategies, that it is possible to identify the mechanisms for determining events and their eventual replicability.

Abstract
In fact, it is in seriality, i.e. in the study of the causes and effects of government strategies, that it is possible to identify the mechanisms for determining events and their eventual replicability.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
