Abstract
The inspiration offered by the writer’s native province marks and orients his work for the theater. Bellac and Limousin appear to be the primary source of sensory life for the characters and at the same time give Giraudoux’s dramaturgy the authenticity of local color and the symbolism of a mythology of childhood. This contribution seeks to show the existence of a Giralducian “mood” linked to his childhood and conveying a social and political ethic that plays a constitutive role in his theatrical work.File in questo prodotto:
