Cupole murarie nel Cilento: una prima ricognizione

The main goal of this contribution is to map the masonry domes distributed in Cilento – part of the Italian National Park of Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni – geographically located in the southern area of the Campania region. The mapping of the cilentan domes was performed by investigating the numerous municipalities that dot the four areas named Alto Cilento, Cilento centrale, Basso Cilento and Valle del Calore and Alburni. The purpose of the paper is the analysis and systematization of the main types of cilentan existing domes in order to valorize and communicate the still unknown architectural heritage that characterizes the cultural and scenic identity of this territory
