Abstract
In a context marked by profound changes and increasingly less linear life trajectories, it becomes necessary to rethink career guidance as a generative device, a space of co-construction in which narration takes on a central role. Transitions, understood as critical passages that mark and orient existential trajectories, represent the privileged ground where self-narration fully manifests its function. Narrating oneself means not only attributing meaning to one’s experience, but also acting within it, making the transition a livable phase. From this perspective, the contribution examines Nancy K. Schlossberg’s 4S system – situation, self, support, strategies – to understand how people navigate change through the narrative device, conceived as a generative and transformative act. However, alongside its potential, the limits of this perspective also emerge. There are, in fact, interrupted, unspoken, forgotten, and/or rigidified narratives which, in the absence of reflective devices, risk crystallizing identity into predefined roles. Hence the need to question the conditions that make narration truly generative and capable of opening possibilities, guiding the discovery and recognition of individual ‘Talents’.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
