The responsible and sustainable tourism model promotes local identity, involves the community and integrates various tourism elements to enhance the area’s natural, historical and artistic values. This approach is reinforced by a network vision and the presence of an actor, such as the ecomuseum, that mobilises the local community around its environment, acting as a meta-management body and stimulating tourism development through cultural heritage. By requiring active community involvement and advanced managerial skills, ecomuseums play a crucial role in the development of local economies. This study, carried out using qualitative methodology, aims to address these issues by comparing them with the analysis of an emblematic case, that of the Fiordo di Furore ecomuseum.

Abstract
The responsible and sustainable tourism model promotes local identity, involves the community and integrates various tourism elements to enhance the area’s natural, historical and artistic values. This approach is reinforced by a network vision and the presence of an actor, such as the ecomuseum, that mobilises the local community around its environment, acting as a meta-management body and stimulating tourism development through cultural heritage. By requiring active community involvement and advanced managerial skills, ecomuseums play a crucial role in the development of local economies. This study, carried out using qualitative methodology, aims to address these issues by comparing them with the analysis of an emblematic case, that of the Fiordo di Furore ecomuseum.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
